NIP is a wholly state owned entity. It is managed and controlled by an eight (8) member Board of Directors appointed by the Minister of Health and Social Services, in accordance with the Namibia Institute of Pathology Act (Act no: 15 of 1999) . With a few exemptions, NIP is governed by the Companies Act (Act no; 61 of 1973) like any other company.
